Pennsylvania’s smoking ban went into effect yesterday, but since not all bars are required to go smoke-free, curiosity compelled me to call a few places up and see which way they went regarding the ban.

I figured others might find this information useful, so here’s which bars in the southeastern Pennsylvania area allow smoking, and which ones don’t:

No smoking

Delaware County:

• Barnaby’s of America, Ridley: No smoking inside the building, allowed on the deck
• Brownie’s 23 East, Ardmore: No smoking
• Iron Hill Brewery, Media: No smoking
• Quotations, Media: No smoking
• Riddle Ale House, Media: No smoking
• Tom n Jerry’s, Ridley: No smoking, but does have a smoking room

Chester County:

• Flanigan’s Boat House, Malvern: No smoking inside, allowed on the downstairs outside deck
• The Flying Pig, Malvern: No smoking

Montgomery County:

• Flanigan’s Boat House, Conshohocken: No smoking
• The Great American Pub, Conshohocken: No smoking
• Spamps, Conshohocken: No smoking
• Guppy’s Good Times, Conshohocken: No smoking

Smoking still allowed

Delaware County:

• Casey’s Restaurant & Saloon, Dexel Hill: Smoking in the bar section
• Jocelyn’s, Media: Smoking
• Durty Nelly’s Bar, Ridley: Smoking
• Rick’s Place, Ridley: Smoking
